Sleep is something America does not receive enough of, with our busy schedules and endless commitments. When it comes to choosing between getting an extra hour of sleep or crossing a task off the to-do list or staying out late with friends, most people do not choose rest. But over a long period of time, this can really take a toll on the body. Teenagers are supposed to get 8-10 hours of sleep every night, and adults are supposed to get 7-9. But the average American receives only 6.8 hours. A good night’s sleep really can do wonders and below I have a list of some of the benefits it can provide:
